I introduced the first blog I wrote with the words:
“I claim no authority beyond that of an ordinary citizen who makes an attempt to be informed. I hope that my words will be judged on their own merit”.
They still seem relevant.
I intend to write about atheism, current affairs, local events, ethics, the law, and whatever else takes my fancy. My only goal is to try and say something new, and perhaps something useful, on a semi regular basis.

Complaints
If you have any concerns about anything I’ve written, don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m a reasonable person, if I’ve screwed up or if someone has posted an inappropriate comment, I’ll correct the matter.
On legal threats: I’m reasonable, but I don’t like legal threats. People who shoot off a letter from the lawyers before first trying to resolve a complaint with me in a civilised manner will receive the scorn they deserve. All legal threats will be published on this website.
